PEAK Fishing has applied our engineering, design, and fabrication expertise to making a set
of premium quality and unique, yet affordable bamboo planing forms. These forms
incorporate the technical expertise, design ingenuity, and quality fabrication PEAK Fishing
is known for.

Features and specifications:

Material - C1018 CRS bar stock
15 stations on 5" spacing (first station at each end is 1" in)
Tip groove depth tapers from .022 to .129 when closed
Butt groove depth tapers from .055 to .162 when closed
Planing surfaces are Blanchard ground to 32 surface finish
Bars are ground as sets for optimal surface to surface alignment
Each bar is 1.08" high by 1.00" wide yielding a wide stable planing platform 2.0" wide
minimum when the forms are completely closed
Forms have PEAK "quick adjust" taper setting design. What is unique about this
system is that the "pull screw" and the alignment pin have been combined by utilizing a
precision diameter shoulder screw. This puts the pull force and the guiding geometry
on a common center axis. Also, on this same axis, the "push action" is provided by a
heavy duty die spring mounted concentrically about the shoulder screw. The die spring
provides force to spread the forms so turning just the "pull screw" will accomplish
adjustment in as well as out, speeding the adjustment process. The forms also have
traditional push screws in the event they may be needed at certain points in the taper
where the change in strip dimension is particularly abrupt. Both push and pull screw
adjustments are made from the same side of the forms and only one size hex wrench is
needed for both (comfort grip T-handle wrench provided with each set)

Availability: At this time we do not have a dealer network set up to distribute PEAK
Fishing's rod making equipment. Our planing forms are available only directly from PEAK
Fishing. We are currently offering our forms at $594.95 + Shipping.

Sales tax will be applied to purchases within Colorado, including items picked up in
